The 'Ensemble' (Adult Choir) practice Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM
The schedule as of now is to rehearse every Wednesday at 7 pm, even though we have temporarily suspended in light of the recent coronavirus crisis.
The choir offered anthems regularly during the choir season for the special music of Advent-Christmas Seasons.
On All Saints' Sunday, the presented a choral Introit, as an ode to faithful departed saints and souls, "Give Rest O, Christ," directly from the Burial liturgy of the Episcopal Church and done in the haunting Russian Kievan Chant, the Kontakian.
In November we presented music for a Gospel Mass with the return of a guest soloist. The liturgy will include an arrangement of the African-American Spiritual, "Wade in the Water," and "Come Sunday," written by Duke Ellington.
Singing in a choir and putting in the rehearsal time to be able to offer it in the liturgy is a very special feeling.
Our choir members are: Pamela, Richard, Cindy, Fern, Georgie, Barbara, Jill, Karen, Carol, and Phil.
