So far, a dry and sunshiny week! Will it hold or are more showers headed our way? Always a mixed blessing, so we'll just wait and see what our Lord has in store for us. And, we'll see just how March comes in - will it be as a lion or as a lamb? It seems like I say this every month, but one of our busier seasons of the church year is upon us. Everything starts off on Tuesday evening with our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Prepare to be stuffed before the season of repentance and fasting is upon us. Join us at 6 pm for a wonderful meal - pancakes and all of the trimmings! The cost is $5/person, or $15/family. You can't beat that with a stick! I know there will be opportunities to help out, so come early or stay late - extra hands are always welcome. See you on Tuesday!
Ash Wednesday is on March 6th. St. Mary's will have two services - one at 12:00 noon, and the other at 7:00 pm. At this time, I believe Fr. Frank Munoz is scheduled to serve at the noon service, and Fr. Rei Castro will be with us at the evening service. Please take the time to put one of these meaningful services on your busy schedules.
On March 16th St. Mary's will host a diocesan meeting of small churches. We will be meeting from 10 am until 1 pm in the sanctuary. Wish I knew how many people to expect, but I think this is an exciting opportunity to share our lovely space with other people in our diocese. Stay tuned for further details.
And last, but certainly not least, ever since the Blue Grass Festival, the walkway outside the Haven has been home to a rather large piece of carpeting. It continues to sit there, and no one has claimed it. The time has come to find it another home! If it belongs to anyone, please reclaim it and take it home with you. If you would like to have it - stake a claim and it can be yours for the taking! The object is to remove it and find it another place to take up space. If it is still in the same place by the following week, all bets are off, and it will move on to its next reward.

WOSM NEWS
Last year the WOSM went to the Lenten Quiet Day at St. David's, and the 8 women that went really enjoyed it, so since it is being offered again I thought it would be good to consider doing this. It is on March 16th, and the FLYER is on our bulletin board. We could car pool as usual. I will have a sign up sheet in the Narthex or you can speak to me directly. All women are welcome!

CHOIR NEWS
The schedule as of now is to rehearse every Wednesday at 7 pm, although I'm going to have to switch three rehearsals in March to Mondays. That will be March 11, 8, and 25.
The choir will perform on Ash Wednesday (March 6), Palm Sunday (April 14), and Easter (April 21). We might also perform on Maundy Thursday (April 18).
The pieces we'll be working on are Ave Verum Corpus by Mozart, Jesus, Have Mercy, Chanticleer's Carol, and the hymn Now the Green Blade Riseth.
